Electrical relays are typically used to switch mechanisms mechanically in an electrical circuit. In most setups, an overload relay can be useful to stop the circuit from tripping. In all cases with electrical machinery, protection relays are necessary to keep the circuit functional. General purpose Octal, Cube and SlimLine relays are offered along with Level, Protection and Timing Relays that are application specific. General purpose relays come in various configurations such as SPDT, DPDT, 3PDT and 4PDT, current ratings from 5A – 12A and industry standard control voltages.
